Let's do it the Right way:
- corporations should pay no taxes
- remove all government agencies that watch business practices
- eliminate all environmental laws
- make no minimum wage laws
- eliminate all social security

Add eliminate income tax that penalizes succeeding and the economy would F'n take off like a rocket.

But we are different than 3rd world nations. Unless we want to compete on a world market.

Tell the mother buying meat at the supermarket that the USDA meat inspector doesn't have 'a real job' and food and pesticide regulations are unnecessary.
Tell the businessman on a 747 that the air traffic controller doesn't have 'a real job.'
Tell the factory worker that the OSHA inspector doesn't have 'a real job' and safety regulations are unnecessary.
Th same for FBI agents; Postal workers; the military, etc., etc.

Since the EPA came into existence, the air is 95% cleaner than 1960s levels. I find that far from unproductive and confiscatory, that's worthwhile and worth paying for.

According to some fascinating new economic research, "Is Employer-Based Health Insurance A Barrier To Entrepreneurship?", there's an unexpectedly large numbers of Americans becoming entrepreneurs within months of qualifying for
Medicare (over and above those you would expect to become entrepreneurs because they were fired, forcibly retired, etc.) The reason: They now have the security of healthcare, so they can take the risk of starting private companies.
It's just one of the MANY, MANY ways in which a vigorous public and private sector support each other to create a successful economy that can't occur when there's only one or the other.

I also object to this "government confiscates money" nonsense. The power to lay and collect taxes is authorized in the Constitution because if one is going to have a viable nation, we need taxation. If you don't believe in that, you are an anarchist not a conservative.

In the past our forbears had a whole revolution over a tax rate that was considerably lower than what we're gouged for today.

You would almost laugh at the little bit of taxes the American Revolution was fought over. Today we're just chumps that let them come and take it all away.

The taxation of individuals, corporations, and capital gains are near 60 year lows. Anybody that thinks taxation is the answer to economic problems when Coporate America is making record profits and the disparity between the wealthiest Americans and the poorest is at historic highs has been totally manipulated by the Conservative Movement and uneducated and misinformed about the economic history of this country.

The reality is that Corporate America is taking American capital and American jobs and shipping them to low wage emerging market countries around the world and making massive profits. There is no tax cut or change in regulation that is going change the fact that a textile worker in China makes about $200 a month, a worker in a solar panel factory makes $1.80 in China, or certified public account in Sri Lanka makes $5900 a year whilel one in the United States makes $60,000.

The American people are being sold out by Corporate America. If you don't realize this you either aren't paying attention, you are too distracted by 200 channels of high def cable, or you are simply too f**King stupid to realize what is going on.

+1

Humans by our very Nature are greedy, the rich are simply getting richer and are isolated from a large US public Deficit etc, also don't care if there is 5% or 25% unemployment in the US.

The entire System is very sick, historically this is how many revolutions have started.

There needs to be a re-balancing.

To be fair however the mainstream population continue to sit back and watch all this happen, people still buy those goods and services from offshore and then blame China etc.

What business is it of yours how much profit a company makes? The consumer wants a good product for a fair price. So if the company makes money I should be upset? That's the reason they are in business.

How about you leave the conservative garbage out of the issue since the problem is manipulation of the economy by BOTH sides. All one has to do is look at the housing crisis to see that. Government has not done a good job managing the economy now have they? Quit voting for the ones who manipulate the economy and suffocate us with THEIR rules and lack of choices.

If you don't realize this you either aren't paying attention, you are too distracted by 200 channels of high def cable, or you are simply too f**King stupid to realize what is going on.

btw Ron Paul did NOT vote for the housing bill

If the jobs created by only one corporation in May, [a corporation that is on the Obama hit list] McDonalds was subtracted from the 54,000 added, wouldn't the jobs created for the month be ZERO?

Are they ever right or unsurprised anymore?
Change you can believe in. Democrats were expecting Obama to be the next Bill Clinton when it comes to economic prosperity, but they got a candidate who did not live up to the hype.
