There is no such thing as the theory of creationism. Creationism is a religious dogma, not a scientific theory.
If a scientific theory ever emerges as an alternative to evolution by natural selection it would be legitimate for it to be taught in science classes, but this has not happened.
Did the poster say anything about teaching Creationism in science classes? You show me where he said that and I will accept your words as those of one who looks seriously at what is said not those of a lefty who sees only right and left about all things.
Theory is exactly as it is defined. Historical perspective using science, and historical perspective using religion. The two theories can mesh in the classroom because it promotes critical thinking..... no matter what you Utopic Idealists on the Looney Left believe.
Those of us with science backgrounds and an understanding of what comprises a 'theory" rest our case!

I honestly don't feel like typing a nice long post to get ignored by you or anyone else. But I'm not surprised that your response is "well, you just don't understand it because you must be dumb". Very typical elitist attitude that you guys tend to take on. Believe it or not, you might not be the smartest guy in the room. It is possible for a smart person to reject a fairy tale like evolution.
Creationism can be taught a parochial/private schools. If people want to be taught this from the same "text book" that claims the sun was created after plant life and also revolves around the earth, let them learn it in private.
Don't make tax payers pay for religion to be taught in public schools!

I don't get it... "should" be taught in school? I thought all schools taught evolution, I didn't even think it was optional... so I am not sure about the word "should"... but most people don't realize that before they post or speak...
Also, there should be SOME separation of church and school but there should not be a separation between church and student... if the student chooses religion, the school should not be involved... anyways, religion should NOT be taught in PUBLIC school although I can see public funding going to private schools for teaching non-religious studies that is also part of their religious education, considering the parents ARE paying their taxes for education...

Teach it in private schools or in college. Teaching Christianity at the expense of tax payers is not what public education is about.
