Even Maddow said she was disappointed in the speech and that he didn't offer enough information.

I had to stop watching his jabbering tonight. What an azzhat! Yes, I said it, our POTUS is an azzhat and an embarrasment. Now it is time to nation build in our own country? Sorry, that time was with the first stimulus buster, we are completely broke now thanks to you. Thirty percent (30%) further into debt since 2008. He wants to do something for the little people just before the election? Now that is what I call transparent, talk about shallow insincerity!

What was that thing he was doing with his head , his eyes and the camera. Did someone try to coach him on how to make eyecontact with the camera? If so it came of pathetic.

Rachel is a far left liberal, Obama is a centrist liberal President. Maddow has no idea what's going on on the ground in Afghanistan, Obama knows in specific detail. It's easy to say, just pull out all the troops but that may not be the safest and/or most pragmatic thing to do. I've always appreciated how Obama can ignore his base and do what is best for the country.

Obama is just playing games. He's seen the polls. The people want the troops out of Afghanistan NOW.

Pew poll: Majority of Americans favor immediate Afghan pullout - TheHill.com

Of course, there are always the gullible, and unfortunately many previously anti war Democrats who will defend Obama no matter what he does. Heck, he could bomb Canada and it would be okay with some of them..

Obama always seems to anger the righties when he addresses the nation. It's always brings out the best of them.

So the President should lead by doing whatever polls say and not what is the safest most pragmatic thing to do? That's utter nonsense.

I guess you haven't been paying attention, Obama has become adept at angering both sides of the spectrum.
