See, I'm curious about something and I hope you can help me out. Why exactly should anyone prove anything to you, or even try? It's not as if your vote is going to make any difference at all in the long run on this issue. Gay marriage and gay equality WILL happen, and it will happen whether you are on the right side of history or not. So you can sit there, ask these dumb questions and demand proof as if you are being clever and having a "gotcha" moment, but let's be perfectly honest, shall we. You don't really matter. No one has to prove anything to you. If you want to remain ignorant, keep ignoring the science and the evidence. Keep ignoring the logical next step that comes from demanding proof as to the origins of homosexuality... in that you also question the very origins of heterosexuality by doing so. So no, no one has to give you any answers. If you were truly interested in those, this would be a very different conversation and you wouldn't be wasting everyone's time.

I wonder how many things you approve of that were not decided by popular vote. Your transparency is pretty humorous.

Yep.

Things like... the Constitution...

They're really reaching. It must be depressing for them to know that society is gradually but surely tossing ones beloved forms of discrimination into the dustbin of history...

That is the real problem with gay marriage supporters. they cannot get it passed on the ballot. How can you leave the blithering semi-retarded masses to vote on someone else's desire to love???

I don't get it! ROTFL.

But the voters are brainwashed by all the astroturfing groups. That's why they make foolish anti-constitutional decisions.

Why would we need it passed on the ballot? We're not a direct democracy. The "people" will not be the one's deciding this issue.

Conservative states will be forced to accept gay marriage whether they like or not.

Default How many Presidents of the United States were elected by direct vote on the ballot?

Zero. Zip. Nada.

(hint: the American President's election is certified by The Electoral College. It is possible for the elected President to actually lose the actual popular vote).

I agree. Although I have no sympathy for them, I can imagine that it's stressful to wake up every day and feel like the world around you is falling apart. Such is the life of a social conservative, I guess.
