I don't believe Obama wants to eliminate the Bush tax cuts.

If he did, he would have done it during the 2 years the democrats controlled the white house, senate and house.

He didn't.

If he wanted to eliminate them, the republicans would not have been able to stop him.

I say he likes them as they are for political reasons.

He only wants it for a talking point to win elections.

Without that talking point, he would not be able to spew the hatefilled class warfare rhetoric he does.

There are no "Bush tax cuts". After 10 years they became the standard tax rates. Obama renewed them which made them his tax rates, not Bush's. Terminology matters, try to get it right: Obama ownes the tax rates now; in fact, he talked them up as a great idea before signing them back into law.

LIE. He has TWICE attempted to remove the Bush Tax cuts for the rich. Once the Republican held unemployment benefits hostage to keep them and the second time they held the Nation hostage. Extortion at it's finest.

Obama does NOT support tax cuts to the top 5%. And he hasn't really kept it a secret. But then, if your opinion is entirely based on what you hear from the lamestream media that is the "think tank" for a substantial part of the populace, well, then you ought to learn a bit more about the real world.

The {R}s were in control of the House in both of your examples, the OP stated that Obama had both houses and did nothing to end them. Which is a valid point.

Obama is clearly no dictator that those with barely functioning brain believe in, and tell everybody else that he is... after all, someone with dictatorial attitude would overturn policies from predecessors the moment power is in hand. Obama's fault must lie there... that he waited until the expiration of the tax cuts?

Bush was not a dictator either. Yet we call them the 'Bush tax cuts' because he signed them into law.

Congress passed laws to extend these tax rates. Obama signed them. He could have vetoed the bill and forced Congress to override him. He didn't. Hence, his signature is on them and they are his policy now.

Yeah but he signed the bill extending them and now they are the Obama cuts.
Gun or no gun he signed that bill.

He caved into the minority in power in 2010. They should have expired..they did what they were enacted to do over a decade ago.

But no..he continued them and added his own payroll tax cut which hurts SS even more.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but he was waiting until they expired, was he not?
