I had "sex education" back in 7th grade, back then it was called Health and Hygiene and was a required class, we learned about reproduction, Homosexuality, and STDs (although there wasn't any condom demonstrations), boys and girls had it separately, this was a very long time ago.

How could anyone think it is a BAD idea for children to be taught sexuality in a clinical fashion? Most parents can't speak openly and honestly with their children about sex; sex is "dirty", those people are "perverts", sex is for a married man and woman only to make a baby, sex "hurts", the woman's parts have teeth and can bite it off, etc..
