So republicans are running scared that if Obama manages to get this thru, it will help the economy and destroy their plan on keeping the economy down and the next election... theirs.
Whats new?
It's never worked before, what makes you believe it's going to work this time?
The opening shot of his campaign began last evening with a captive audience and these lefties really can't see that at all. Yes, he has said, in so many words just what Nasty Nancy said, "We have to vote for it to find out what is in it". He has left us with a promise that it could be paid for in 10 years. Now he has promised and promised that one and I wonder when people will realize that if allowed he will have us paying hundreds of billions of dollars each year for those 10 years. Only those not smart enough to see through his crap will be willing to take a chance.
So basically what we have here is the following.
At the beginning of Mr. Obama's first term in office, he produced a magnificent plan costing around a trillion dollars that would hold unemployment below 8%
Unemployment went up to near 10% after the plan became law.
NOW at the END of his first term in office. Mr. Obama has a new plan that is not very much different from the previous one except that it is a little less than half the size and cost of the first plan but THIS TIME it will work and THIS TIME it will be the republicans fault if it doesn’t.
and liberals everywhere are amazed at the brilliance of Mr. Obama.
When an LP has a scratch, the needle will hit that scratch and play the same phrase over and over.
it would be more accurate to say that Republicans are tired of hearing the scratch on the Obama LP.
You might be old, but I own LP. But neither age nor ownership is key to recognizing the problem. If you think it is Obama, well, that is more telling of what you are about... the boat is certainly large enough for all republicans getting on board.

The republican opposition. That was the point in the post you are questioning.

I certainly hope so. I have tried to be very clear on this point... I am certainly about not re-re-re-re doing things that have failed with the full intention that they will not fail...THIS TIME...
Mr Obama clearly is about the Re-re-re-re doing of failed things.

It is sad really.
His failures can be attributed to listening/giving into the whims of the republicans. Personally, I feel, the weakest part of his plan is payroll tax cut.
dude! it doesnt matter that it hasnt worked before! Mr. Obama is so very smart! and he said THIS TIME it will work!
I'm not questioning why Obama proposed his plan. I didn't expect anything different than another stimulus.
I just don't understand why some posters here think it's going to work this time.
See the republicans are already being blamed. LOL. Like clockwork the swooners fall in line.
