Voting to keep government out of my life, is in my best interest, and the only people I can see that think otherwise, are those who are complete failures in life and need someone else to take care of them.
Wouldn't it be in the poor's economic interest to vote themselves a million dollars? Come to think of it, it would be in their economic interest to vote themselves a billion dollars.

I agree, but as long as there are poor and uneducated people, there will a GOP/tea party who's supporters will be waiting with their arms reached out for handouts.

Most wealth-hindering regulations come from state and local government, not from Washington. In my experience, conservatives rarely complain about these state and local regulations, and often promote them, such as those policies which redistribute from the poor to the middle class and from renters to homeowners.
