How do you know that? Reaganomics gave me five rent increases in five years. During those five years I had to move three times when I could not afford the higher rent, and I ended up homeless for four months.

If my goal was to be wealthy, I would take my chances on the lottery versus wealth redistribution any day. We see people win the lottery every so often, but I've never seen anyone become wealthy through government redistribution of wealth.

More often the choice is not to be wealthy but to not freeze in the dark. Government wealth redistribution does help with the latter as it is supposed to.

Government comes from to govern, so how could a government stay out of people's lives? As long as it is there, it will play a big role in life...
