Matthew Vadum, a leading crusader against "Acorn" and alleged "urban voter fraud", apparently feels bold enough these days to spell out the REAL agenda: poor people in America have no business voting in the first place. They just make "bad choices", that wind up costing the "producers" of society money, by voting for Democrats, and useless things like social justice and equal rights.
Finally, the "voter ID/ voter fraud" legislation sweeping the Red States (courtesy of ALEC, the arch-conservative American Legislative Executive Counsel) gets exposed for what it really is: a Randian Corporate Elite campaign to repeal universal suffrage (one at-risk voter block at a time) in favor of an aristocracy in America.
All part and parcel of the Corporate Overlords and their GOP handmaidens' plan to return the US to the "gilded age" of..., well I used to say 19th Century, but this crapola means we're headed back to the 18th Century now.
If the conservatives succeed beyond their wildest imaginations, and they roll us back to 1789, what then? Black folks will be back in chains, poor folks will be back working for starvation wages, rich folks will be free to cheat whomever they like .... but then what? Why stop at 1789? Might as well roll it back a bit further. Indentured servitude was a good money making scheme. Why should the government interfere with this if the "free" market allows for it?
....A.K.A....."blacks shouldn't be allowed to vote." The "poor people" thing is a ruse. He's still angry about the Emancipation Proclamation. No need to pay that dude any mind.

Yeah they will make an exclusion for poor whites cause they vote GOP.
The author of the article does make a valid point. Why should someone who has no skin in the game be given a voice on how that game is played?
I would counter by ensuring everyone with an income paid taxes, regardless of the amount. Then everyone will have contributed and, therefore, be entitled to voice how their taxes are being used.

Glitch, if you are subject to America's laws, you have "skin in the game" as far as citizenship goes. If you must obey elected officials and their law enforcement officials, then you have a right to vote on who those elected officials are. This is a very basic, very American principle. Not everything is about money.
I don't care if they vote...but just once an election.
