Someone needs to find more pressing matters to contend with.

I'm sure half the monuments and parks in the southwest can be connected in some way to "Latino" themes.

Oh yeah, and St. Augustine too.

Pandering. Clearly the secretary has hosted too many groups in his office. It's starting to get to his head.

Yeah ...
Spoiler
The Rio Grande should be a National Park. They could have an attraction where you can raft across the river instead of walk it.

But actually - there's plenty of Latino themed sites in California. In Florida it makes sense. But would it be as relevant to have them in Ohio or Idaho, Wyoming? I doubt it.

They need to leave well enough alone.

I'm sure they won't stop till Caesar Chavez day is a national holiday.

Not until there are 'African American' themed parks..LOL

What a bunch of hooey.

Besides, I learned all about Hispanic history back in grade school; it was the history of the Spanish conquest of the Americas.

I don't know..do schools still teach History?

I have German roots. Even though I wasn't born there, nor were my parents or grandparents, can I have a German themed park? Fair is fair, right?

Why do we need a theme park only for Hispanics? Isn't that legal segregation?

Considering how often I visit the local European-themed park (which is a lot), I don't see the problem with a Latino-themed park.

Spoiler
I'm speaking about Busch Gardens Williamsburg, of course.

Well we need a chinese themed park too. And an Azerbaijan themed park.

Let's just divide up all of our country into a patchwork of different ethnicities and let each one claim a slice of land for their own.

That's the AMERICAN way right?

I never heard of an African American or African themed national park. Which one is it? Which congressperson got that through a vote in congress?

Are people who place such high importance on their ethnicity so insecure in the United States that the only way they feel like they belong is to see edifices or parks named for a culture or a person they share an ethnic commonality with simply by the virtue of being born?

Ridiculous. That's what airplane tickets are for. If you want to look at something of your ethnic heritage, take a trip to Spain, or France, or Mexico, or whatever nation your forefathers came from.

This is America, we value American things here and our unique American heritage.
