He (Cain) was then asked, “Have you ever been accused, sir, in your life of harassment by a woman?”
He breathed audibly, glared at the reporter and stayed silent for several seconds. After the question was repeated three times, he responded by asking the reporter, “Have you ever been accused of sexual harassment?”
Regardless of whether this is true or not, Cain's response doesn't look good.
This, plus the fact that these women were paid to quietly go away--why would that happen if there wasn't something to the claims?
Sorry, but this doesn't appear to be the work of Democrats who would hold off on springing something like this for the General Election once the GOP was stuck with a candidate. I'm thinking it's more like the work of this guy (notice the 2007 date of this article):
they are just trying to attack herman because hes a black conservative.
I'm not sure that anyone who would support Cain in the first place really gives a crap if he sexually harrassed a female. After all, doesn't it go along with his "I'm taking us back to the 1950s" schtick?
Anyone can be accused, and a settlement makes the problem go away. We'll never know if Cain actually did anything wrong in 1999, because the case has been sealed by non-disclosure agreements.
What worries me more, as a voter, is the fact that, Cain and his campaign had to know this day was coming- why weren't they prepared to handle it? And what does that say about what kind of president he'd be?
LOL, tropolis, the allegations were made long before he contemplated running for office, during the time he was actually heavily involved in the association.
A totally strange statement coming from Cain's, Mark Block, "I am not personally aware of any cash settlement relating to sexual harassment charges to Mr. Cain."
Just more dirty tricks. Had to go back 20 years to find it. It's sick that these are the stories that journalists feed us these days....they are so relevant.
But I guess it's the sick public that keeps this type journalism going.
Whatever get's you going I guess.
