All I can say is, 'Good for Rick Santorum'. Not only does he think he's George Washington, there's a frothy mix of feces and lube named after him. I'll take the name as appropriate, the Washington quote as sick ego.
And the OP was referencing Beck and HuffPo, not Santorum, as best I could discern.
Actually the OP quoted Beck, and correctly. The source doesn't matter as long as the quote is correct.

Glenn Beck on his Monday radio show suggested Republican presidential candidate Rick Santorum could be "the next George Washington." "If there is one guy out there that is the next George Washington, the only guy that I could think of is Rick Santorum. I would ask that you would take a look at him," said Beck. He prefaced his comments by saying that he doesn't endorse candidates, make donations or get "involved in politics." He also clarified that he doesn't "trust" any of the candidates, but if he had to pick one, it would be Santorum.
Is there any chance that you know that Beck said months ago that we need another George Washington to save the nation? It certainly isn't Barack Obama that anybody would compare to George Washington. Well, not many, anyway.
Anyway Beck has been looking for the next George Washington and maybe he has found him.
