The university is not providing the service due to an action/behavior of the student so why should there be a refund?
You buy a new stereo and drop it down your stairs when you're taking it into the house and you expect a refund?
If some of you have gone to college, and sometimes I doubt it from some of the crap that's posted (or if you did you truly did waste your money) you should know that refunds are rare and happen only if a very limited set of circumstances occur, usually within the first couple weeks of classes. Expecting a refund due to your own illegal actions/violation of dorm and college rules is unrealistic. Or another example of the entitlement mentality of Gen Y.
Entitlement mentality? LOL. How many fights do you think happen in campus housing? One? Violation of dorm rules? I guess they better start kicking folks out for drinking on campus next because it violates the rules. That will be one barren campus soon.

What college did you you guys go to where violence was just ignored? Read your handbook.

As a note, an entire case of beer will fit into a large suitcase. Also, one of those lemonade/drink mixing machines is an excellent way to keep a grain alcohol punch mixed and cold.
2)i have two bachelors degrees. and being kicked out of the dorm is different than being kicked out your extremely expensive classes. and if you 1)drop a stero when taking it into your house you sure as heck do get a refund, either through the store or the manufacturer.
if i were them i'd sue, or simply not pay it.

1) No, what you propose with the stereo is called stealing, or fraud. obviously you believe lying is appropriate. As a note, the students breached, not the college.

Kick em out of student housing. Actually her credits will transfer. The school should pay her back for her current tuition though and classes she's enrolled in if they want to boot her out of the entire university. Seems a bit extreme to me for a fight. Let law enforcement deal with it. It didn't happen in class or disrupt classes or anything. I guess fights at football games will be getting folks kicked out next?? Plenty of football players at KU back in the day used to get in brawls all the time at their on campus housing and never got kicked out of the university. Hell there were always fights at frat parties and the like. 18-20 yo's with belly's full of beer make bad mixes at times. This case seems strange.
While a bit extreme, it was a fight that escalated. People seem to think there's never been a fight on college campuses before. Especially during rival weekends. The cops/DPS usually didn't want to hear who started what and just dispersed everyone.

It's COLLEGE!!! Fighting and acting like an ass is what college kids do. They're young, dumb and immature.
I mean, "current crop of college kiddies?" LOL....you kidding me. My father can tell you stories of his time at Northwestern that would make the hair on the back of your neck stand up, and he was there from '58-'63. Stuff that i wouldn't have dare thought of doing when i was in school.

It's not about me. I'm Black what else can i consider myself as? Again I'm not a part of this violent, regressive culture many Black Americans seem committed to so in that regard no I'm not a part of the Black community. I surround myself with positive people doing good things, many of them Black from various backgrounds.
The ignorant part of your statement is that you are attempting to elevate yourself while stepping on the necks of ALL of the Black Americans who came before you and sacrificed life, limb and liberty so that people like yourself (and your immigrant African family) could take advantage of ALL that America has to offer. It was the descendants of slaves who fought for Civil Rights in America and you spit on those people each and every time you post your anti-Black American vile.
I suspect that you are bitter because despite the fact that you believe yourself to be superior to Americans who happen to be the descendants of African slaves, your Black self is treated exactly the same.
