Perry specifically cited gays serving openly in the military. How is that "special"? Please explain. After all, straights can serve openly in the military.
Homosexuality is an abomination and a depraved lifestyle. Think about it, would you.

Even then only your child would be able to "inherit" from you... and only then IF you had no "legitimate" children who didn't object to it.

There are some states, like NV, that you can register as a domestic partnership so that you have the same basic legal rights as a married couple. This covers same sex and opposite sex couples that don't want to get married. You pay a price for the contract and if you want to dissolve the contract, you have to pay another price for it. Easy in, easy out.

Personally, I think this is ALL that the government should do for everyone. If you want to be "married" go to your church, but the "legal" document should be a simple contract between two people. That should appease everyone really!

What if someone wanted to claim themselves and their dog as a "domestic partnership". Both go against the rules of God's natural plan. Why not, what do you say? To not allow a domestic partnership of a man and his dog, why, that's so prejudicial.

This has been gone over time and time again in other threads. You been a part of said threads, go look. This is just stupid.

[quote=AnUnidentifiedMale;22014130]Rick Perry Says Human Rights for Gays ‘Not in America’s Interests’ - ABC News

This is over-the-top - even for Rick Perry. Just terrible. He says equal rights for gays are a "war on traditional American values".

Does traditional values include selling us out to the Chinese. WTF does gay have to anything to do with the problems of America. You mean legions of the fabulous sit in Congress with now retired Barney Frank on the banking committee urging him to bail out bank CEO bonuses.

I never heard any angry finger snaps and oh no she didn't on CSPAN.

He should be mad at gays for the right reasons: perpetuating disco, making the mini-skirt unfashionable, Warhol, Michael Jackson.

Maybe he'll get the endorsement of the John Birch Society, but will there be anybody else?
I'm a democrat but I kind of like this guy. My party stands for working families and unions and workers rights. All these special interests and victim groups who have hitched their wagon to my party? They can take a hike for all I care.

Yet you have said that people should not be told what they can or cannot do in these situations. So you are contradicting yourself in order to suit your beliefs.

Singe a dog is not a legal consenting adult, then no they wouldn't be able to inter into a "domestic partnership"... any more than a child could. So you're idea is a moot point. Domestic Partnerships are between two legally consenting adults, period.

How about we with hold sending foreign aid at all.

What a rant.
Stating that the Federal government should stay OUT of the marriage business is a "rant"? Oh please.

I'm just curious: If an individual state decided to execute people for homosexual behavior, would you support their supposed 'right' to do that?
Is that supposed to be a real question? Why don't you come back when you come up with something even remotely possible of happening.
