Well, there was NO income tax before the corrupt Federal Reserve came about in 1913.

As for your friend, he is committing fraud and should be very careful. I don't know about you but going to jail for welfare fraud is not high on my list of to-do's.

DH doesn't tip until the end of the night. Loser bartenders don't get tipped. End of story.

You both deserve each other. What he's doing is an insult to real poor people who need help. You're just a common tax cheat. Both of you lack morals.

They are both losers...stockpiling food for a doomsday scenario that has been played out for years

Income taxes are for suckers IMO.

I'm pretty sure that's what Capone thought all the way to jail.

If you honestly think you are outsmarting the federal government, then there is this bridge in Brooklyn I'd like to sell you. The only reason they don't go after you is that they have

much
bigger
fish
to
fry
.

Hardly. I only report the absolute bare minimum that is required by my employer, which typically equates to 8% of sales.

The burden of proof would be on them, and since I make below minimum wage hourly and live on tips, they would be hard pressed to determine how much I make every night.

Who is to say we don't have a bad month and would end up hardly making anything?
Sure they can. They can do an audit of the resturant and estimate your tips based on gross sales on the days you worked.

And an admitted tax cheat. So you, a criminal, are outraged at criminal behavior? Did I miss something?

In the scheme of things your friend represents a small % of food stamps users, low enough where I can't get worked up over it. The real problem with food stamps is that it is a leading cause of the breakdown of the traditional family. The family used to be the saftey net, not big government. It is no coincidence that the % of unwed mothers has exploded at the same time food stamp use has gone through the roof.

I wonder how much you're stealing from your boss. You know what I mean, giving away free drinks to increase your tips.
