What's funny is that Christmas has always, at least for the last several centuries, has always been more of a secular celebration than a religious one. In Europe, in the 1600 to 1700s Christmas was just an excuse to drink and eat to excess, full of public drunken debauchery. That was why the pilgrim's actually outlawed the celebration of Christmas in the colonies for several years when they got here.
So the pilgrims actually started the war on Christmas!!! Those Godless heathen bastards!!!!

I pity the fool who doesn't know that Jesus is the reason for the season.
Just so everyone knows, we will have a CHRISTMAS TREE in our living room (not a holiday tree), our children are getting CHRISTMAS PRESENTS (not holiday gifts) and we will eat CHRISTMAS DINNER (not a holiday meal), and we may attend CHRISTMAS FUNCTIONS (not holiday functions). We will also very cheerfully wish you a MERRY CHRISTMAS! (NOT happy holidays). By the way, if you want to have a Happy Hanukah, by all means do, we respect that. If you want to have a Blessed Kwanzaa, we also respect that. If you want to dance to the Winter Solstice, we also respect that. We want to have a Merry Christmas, so we ask YOU to respect that!
All those who three months ago thought Perry would be a good choice for president are now seeing what we in Texas have seen for years; a bumbling empty suit.
Good hair, though.
And you know what?
If Rick Perry hadn't run for President ... we'd be hearing chorus after chorus of "Well, so-and-so is only leading because Rick Perry didn't run! He'd have cleaned everyone's clock!"
I bet any minute now they'll be a post from some drooling Repug Perry supporter saying """...but , but Obama Obaaaamaaaa...."
Off topic but put to good use when "Perry Commits An Embarrassment"
Oh! Wait........
