I don't understand why these hate groups (and so many christians) push so hard to try to deny gays the right to be married. Why is this so? Why aren't they fighting for laws against divorce or remarriage? After all, your god despises divorce and considers remarriage to be adultery (with few exceptions). Adultery is so despised by god that it is one of the 10 commandments. You don't see any commandments related to homosexuality do you?

Why don't you hear a peep about this from these "christians"? Hit too close to home? Of course they wouldn't want to pass laws that negatively affect them. They only seem to want to control what other people can or cannot do.

By preventing remarriage you're preventing adultery, so......if you deny people the right to remarry.....voila! Make it an issue! Organize! Make a stand and tell half of your congregation who divorces and remarries that you "love them", just hate "the sin." Write your congressman, letting them know how you feel! There are many avenues! Heck, why are so many of you wasting so much time on the gay issue when such a large percentage of our population (over 50%) is defying god in regards to marriage. Concentrate on these people first!

You did not answer my questions you just carried on with a rant of other things that I do address in other threads but I am just one man. And actually the 10 Commandments do address homosexuality you mentioned one in "Thou shalt not commit adultry" but you missed "Thou shalt not covet" "Thou shalt not kill" "Thou shalt not bear false witness" "Thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all your heart soul and mind" "Thou shalt honor thy father and thou mother" must I go on or do you not understand the magnitude of those 10 Commnadments, there are four more as well. Please forgive me I mean no sarcasim merely that there is much more to those Commandments. If you want we can discuss this in private messages.

I simply pointed out that attributing the corporate activities (giving, since they are a non-profit) of Peach Bowl Inc to Chick-fil-A is plain wrong and misleading. Chick-fil-A is just part of this company's revenue stream.
When i donate to a non profit organization that distributes to charities I am donating to charity, it's all the same thing. CFA donates to charities and has their own charities, stop the hate.

mythunderstood did answer your questions, just in the form of other questions. If there is no prejudice against or hatred for homosexuals and these so-called "Christians" are just "Hyuck, doin what the big man upstairs says!" when they oppose it, why are they not also opposing all these other "sinners" with the same fervency? Those who remarry, work on the Sabbath (breaking one of the Ten Commandments), atheists, people of other religions, psychics, etc. The bible even says to kill those in all but the first group, just like it says to kill homosexuals.

Yet these "Christians" put a lot more effort in talking their trash about homosexuality. They fight to see to it that they cannot legally marry or adopt children. Compared to homosexuals, all other sinners get a pass when it comes to their legal rights. Of course the motivation is prejudice, hatred of homosexuals. We are not among those who choose to be blind to this.

And just which of the Ten Commandments addresses homosexuality?

Sure, we could talk about every commandment and every sin all day long until the cows come home. But since this thread addresses (gay) marriage, I figured I would point out the hypocrisy in these hate groups in actively trying to prevent gay marriage, but not re-marriage. Why don't they work on trying to stop the type of "marriage" that jesus specifically was against?

Actually, it says, "Thou shall not commit murder", to be more accurate.

Also, marriage isn't a right, it's a privilege.

Hate? How is it hateful to correct a misconception?

Legal Definition of Right
The USSC has repeatedly ruled it a right. But the 14th amendment covers privileges too.
