WOW Fox News is actually reporting this....and in a "fair and balanced" way?

This should bode well for Obama's re-election campaign.

"Job cuts have fallen sharply since the recession, though employers have been slow to start hiring. The four-week average is falling near 375,000 -- a pace that usually signals that hiring is strong enough to reduce the unemployment rate."

With GDP down to 1.8, there is mixed news and still a lot to be concerned about.

We're cutting staff and people are nervous. Sales are down thruought the region. We're hearing there's a recovery but its not making itself obvious. I honestly think they're falsifying numbers.

No, they are not falsifying numbers. What they are doing is moving the bar by which it is measured.

Yep plenty of part time temp jobs all over this time of year. The media will trumpet how wonderful it is and all is well in the economy now but in a couple months will not make a squeak when those same folks are out looking again. I've seen a lot of folks in the stores this year. I guess one can look at that as either bad or good. Good folks have money to spend OR bad they are running up more debt.

Yep everybody forgets the stimulous was supposed to keep UE below 8% or whatever was touted. Now if it drops under nine the bands are supposed to start playing. Long way to go to get to the 5% or so that it was under the Bush admin. Oh and also he was ripped all the time for how high THAT was by the left. LOL.

What we're seeing it the politicians continuing to throw scraps out for folks to grab at. UE extension, payroll tax deduction. All peanuts. Meanwhile the fed keeps handing our money to europe and "green" nonsense as the EPA continues it's war on coal and oil which will make those miniscuel tax savins go right to your bills and then some. Give em a carrot or two and make em happy. Add in the healthcare debacle looming on the horizon and the goal of Obama and his minions to bring the US down to the level of other countries is well on it's way. Not fair that were a superpower after all.
