Omg I would love this idea! I wish I could spend some time living in London, Paris, Zurich/Geneva, and/or Rome, but it's so hard to emigrate to Europe.

I've lived on both continents for significant periods of time and I do not think that the majority of Europeans and Americans actually hate each other, not by a long shot. However, I do think that the amount of "anti-Americanism" that exists in Europe is vastly more significant than the amount of "anti-Europeanism" that exists in the US.

Say no more.
Case in point, 2011 Highest Quality of Living cities in the world. 13 of the top 20 are in Europe. The other 7 are Canada, New Zealand, or Australia.

Well, I'm ashamed that we have the fattest population, highest prison population in the world, worst healthcare system in the 1st world, lousy education system, biggest war monger in the world, largest Christian extremist population in the world, usually behind the rest of the 1st world on social progression, and the greediest, most materialistic population in the world.

Those are the types of things I don't like about America.

No question that would be awesome. I would love to spend some time living in New York, Dallas, Chicago and/or Los Angeles. I'm also a big proponent of an European/American free trade zone. The Chancelor of my country Germany has already suggested that a few years ago.

No escaping that FACT.

They paid in 2010, they hopefully will pay in 2012 for what they did to this country when they pushed this massive crap sandwich down our throats.
HAHA.. it was written up by a rw think tank and was supported by conservatives up until it was implemented.. kinda like they were all for spending until it wasn't them running the show

Anyone who has read CD threads about Europe can also ask; why are American conservatives so ignorant about Europe?
Nanny state? Cradle to grave? Inferior healthcare? After all pay deductions Europeans have hardly anything left? All Europeans live from government handouts?

And then when the NECESSARY cutting of government spending happens, they get even madder, don't they? They are losing all their "free" goodies, right?

Except those goodies never were "free", where they?

What the EU is going through right now should be and most likely IS a lesson for all Americans of what happens to the "wealth" when radical socialist/liberal policies are at work.
America's right wing would in Europe have more in common ideologically with Germany's Neo-Nazis, Britain's and France's National Front.
And, as anywhere, the radical right hates everyone to their left.
