I actually went through a lot while I was pregnant, 2 car accidents, horrible morning sickness for entire first trimester, unable to sleep for the last two months, extreme exhaustion for the first three, unbearable upper right quadrant pain for 3 months, swelling, "baby brain," unable to work.... Then the baby got stuck during delivery and I had to have an emergency episiotomy and forceps delivery. Don't tell me how "lucky" I was. I contend that pregnancy is not "suffering."
Try being pregnant during cancer or in the few years following treatment (some are fine to start back earlier).

I repeat: You were lucky.

How cruel, to wish for the death of a living, breathing woman in order to maybe give birth to a live infant.

I happen to agree with your last statement, however.

Again, most pregnancies are not high risk and most that are high risk are uneventful.

just because only a tiny fraction of women have horrible pregnancies it is a non starter? so not to worry about the small amount of women who would die in back alley or coat hanger abortions if we make it illegal? such a small amount of abortions are due to incest or rape, a non starter too?

thinking like that is a value judgment reducing women in circumstances you don't find significant to care about

women are not stupid, we do not have our heads in the sand, we know what abortion is. we know what it means to be pregnant. we do not need to see an ultra sound to make us "understand"

this law is about punishment and laying a guilt trip on women who dare to make a choice for abortion.

Yes, about 84% of abortion patients are single, most are young. However, 16% of patients are married, which doesn't sound like a lot, but actually in total numbers is a lot.

Can you cite any studies or statistics on that, or is it your opinion?

Who cares about living, breathing women with families, perhaps have children already, friends, coworkers, roommates, people who rely on them. As long as that fetus comes out, who cares?

If your parents can't do it themselves let them pay for your sex education. How hard is it to tell your kids and for them to understand keeping your legs closed? Your right to choose: Keep your legs closed, use protection or murder.
You just described the real reason for the sonogram. It is to punish women for having sex. If she had kept her legs closed, she wouldn't have to look at the sonogram. Basically, using the government to dictate YOUR moral view.
