What a crock, except for the juice. Here is the WIC list:

WIC Food Package Regulatory Requirements

No cakes or pies. Don't know what you mean by etc?

Because it's the taxpayers paying for it all. Taxpayers have every right to worry about the waste of their money.

No one can claim these welfare programs have been a success in decreasing poverty - the more money the govenrment throws at these programs, the more recipients there are.

We need to scrap these programs and work at ways of decreasing poverty.

I can't see how anyone could believe that having more and more people on food stamps and 41% of babies born into welfare programs is good for this country.

The other problem -- a lot of people could see having the disabled, the elderly getting food stamps and other welfare - but the sad truth is that the vast majority of people on food stamps and Medicaid and WIC have no physical disability at all, are not elderly and infirm but very able-bodied, most have IQs over 70.

If you are interested in helping these people then send then a check to get better skills or simply invite them into your home so that they won't have to worry about rent/mortgages/electricity bills. If you live in the U.S. chances are that there is a local Walmart near you so you can do this.

Just please don't expect everyone to have the same concerns as you....

My question is why a minimum wage job isn't enough to keep you off food stamps. Seems someone working full time at Walmart should NOT qualify for food stamps and Medicaid. Raise the minimum wage until the working poor earn enough to get off aid.

Do you realize that when you are hired at wm, new hires are given a sheet/list of where and how to access food stamps, community assistance etc....

If and when it does I certainly won't be asking you for help by accepting tax dollars. My husband is more than able to take care of both of us and if that fails we both have huge families who can step in. And that's the way it should be.

Well aren't you special! You do realize that not everyone is so lucky?
