I have to scratch my head everytime libertarians attempt to distinguish themselves from mainstream conservatives/neocons. Libertarians are not different. Libertarians always side with conservatives on 97% of issues. If you watch Reason TV on Youtube, most of the comments are from people who you would think are neocons. Same with the CATO Institute.

Aside from war mongering, face it. Libertarians are conservatives.

Libertarians ARE Conservatives...

Neo-Cons usually favor middle of the road economic policy like Cronyism and are large scale interventionists...

Libertarians support free market fundamentals or "Laissez Faire" economic policy.. Their monetary policies differ as well..

BOTH are socially conservative...You just don't understand the distinction between social policy and economic policy...

Socioeconomically, Neo-Cons and Libertarians are much different.

Lots of ill placed things. First, you can't say conservatives/neocons as if they were the same thing. They are not the saem thing. Secondly, libertarians and neoconservatives are on the opposite end of the spectrum: libertarians want limited government, neo-cons are statists. Thirdly, you are right, libertarians are conservatives.

Classical liberals = True Conservatives = today's libertarians

Libertarians are pro-choice
Libertarians want to legalize drugs
Libertarians support gay marriage
Libertarians are for open borders

Now tell me again how libertarians are no different from conservatives.

Oh, and while you're at it, you might also explain the "conservatives/neocons" thing since using those as interchangeable terms is also bogus.

Tell me, do you also think that "liberal", "socialist", and "communist" are also all synonyms? Or is it only the right wing you stereotype?

So why do you support conservative politicians more than liberal politicians?

OP just curious, can you provide a definition of "neocon?" I would contend that if we can't define a word, we shouldn't use it. If a word is undefined, then what we say cannot possibly be meaningful, can it?

Odd since they have been big critics of the Bush administration and didn't jump on the band wagon. Here is just one example from 2003.

There are plenty of Ron Paul supporters who are not well versed on Libertarian philosophy....

Much like there are MANY MORE Obama supporters who do not have one iota of a clue as to what Keynes economics are...

I'm not sure what your point is.
