The PIGS simply have to take the medicine now. There is no way around it.

But Gemany is preventing the European Central Bank from backing debt in the euro zone. If it wants a union then it's going to have to take the rough with the smooth. You really don't know what you're talking about - its not about "footing the bill that others have racked up". Why don't you live in Germany anyway????

Are Americans today in the same desperate situation the Germans were in after WW1?

It hasn't gotten as bad here where it took a wheelbarrow full of money to purchase a loaf of bread like in postwar Germany (yet).....

No, they won't need a street map of Paris; they know the way.

No you have no idea what you are talking about. It's exactly footing the bill that others racked up. So they have to take the medicine now. There is not going to be any other way. Why don't you live in England?

The magic word is 'yet'.

Obama is a unifier. But for every action there is an equal but opposite reaction.

This is the third invasion of Europe by Germany in recent history- the first two were military and the last was economic- as we see the third one failed also...Three strikes and you are out buddy boy. Those pushy arrogant Germanic nut bars should just shut up and stop thinking they know better and that they should rule the world. Speaking to a Greek guy who delivers bread to the local store- He can't stand those nasty Huns...He figures that Greece should be left alone without having to be slave labor for these spawns of the Nazi failure.

Now- Here is the difference between the Germans and the Greeks--If the bread man was German and not Greek- He would not hand out spare loves of bread out the back of his truck to the local poor..A German would toss it in the garbage to ensure a possible future sale of that one loaf.

Greeks may be lazy but they have class- culture and know that working your ass off for the man does not pay off in the end. Look at German culture compared to the Greeks..Germany is a grey cold utilitarian place that wants to make all of Europe a utility - This is a war between utility and beauty...Beauty will win...cos utilitarians are god damned ugly and have few real followers.

I would rather be poor and living in Greece than be rich and living in damned Germany. GERMANY is still living off hidden stolen gold that they literally ripped out of the sculls of the dead...Just because these ancient plundering geeks know how to steal and hide cash does not make them heroic. There were billions of dollars hidden by Germany after the last great war- and they still tap into it as if they earned it.
