Further, your $900/year claim is just looney. Fraud is attractive because its lucrative. I have no doubt that we're talking numbers that far exceed $900 for those who commit these crimes. Additionally, when has cost/benefit ever been the determining factor in sentencing?

Fallacious points, once again.

And since I have to state the obvious for Captain Obvious, let me remind you that we're not talking about Medicare, Social Security, or the Military.

Deflection is the name of the game in Liberal La La Land....I get that....but at least try to put forth something relevant to the topic at hand.

Apparently you have an unlimited amount of outrage. For me I would be more concerned with things that cost a large percentage of the budget. This welfare crap is a drop in the bucket.

But feel free to shake your internet fist in anger just the same.

No clue what you are talking about. I'm a black conservative from Kalifornia and I am the one footing the bill.

How about you come out to California? Go to San Francisco, Oakland, Richmond, ALL of Los Angeles County, San Bernadino County, Riverside County, et al and see how many "red necks" there are leeching off the system here.

Your liberal socialist ideals are failing and you refuse to accept the truth. When you give people money and benefits, for NOTHING, you breed a class of people who expect and want more. Greece is a fine example of this. Instead of continuing "austerity" (another scam term) they vote back in socialists, who are quickly going to bankrupt their country. Why? So they don't have to give up any more of their freebies.

Its all very simple: You want to eat? You want a roof over your head? You want a vacation? You want healthcare? You want childcare? Get a job and PAY for it. I, nor anyone else should be expected to work for you.

Let's agree that food stamps really DON'T grow the economy by any significant amount.

Let's also be reasonable here, without food stamps there is a reduction of aggregate demand that HURTS the economy.

They do, Obama made huge cuts to federal low income energy assistance program. The GOP's idea of "reform" is to completely destroy it.

Though why doesn't the right want reform to the real leaches of society, the massive give-a-ways to the rich and military industrial complex?

I live in the South and plenty of people who are poor, many on welfare, vote for the Republicans solely on Religion alone.

I totally agree with you. These bleeding heart liberals always take the sanctimoneous high road. They try to convince you that that are only for the poor and downtrodden unless of course they are of the white variety that they refer to as "rednecks". They are ok with minorities bleeding us dry though. That is the bottom line. When discussing this topic they think we are demonizing minorities period and that simply isn't true.

I live in So. Calif. and it isn't mostly white rednecks on welfare here. At any rate I don't have a problem with the truly needy getting welfare (those who aren't that way through their own poor choices). The topic is about welfare fraud however, not that. I don't consider fraud of $750 million a year as being a drop in the bucket. It has nothing to do with other fraud being committed whether it be more less. Those are separate issues and all waste and fraud should be dealt with.

Yes, most of the post sounds like "reform" but we all know what that last statment means. As I said I am all for reform, cutting it out all together, No.
I am on topic and I do not need your direction on anything, so save it for someone that does
"we all know what that last statment (statement) means."

"WE". Do you have frog in your pocket?

So, now YOU are claiming to be a mind reader with super intelligence that YOU KNOW what others think?

Talk about seflf exaggeration!

Are you for or against the gov't trying to stop waste, fraud and abuse?
