Absolutely disgusting.

Children need a mother and a father.

No they need responsible and loving parental figures. Doesn't matter if it's two moms, two dads, a mom and a dad, two aunts, two uncles, two grandpas, two grandmas, single mother or single father. Just so long as the child or children in question have someone to take care of them and give them the love and nurturing they need then it doesn't matter who they're raised by.

Stop forcing your beliefs and views on everyone else.

If anyone has a problem with the happy family pictured in the ads above, then they really have no idea what a real family looks like. There's no such thing as a typical family or a required family. Most of them do have a mother, a father, and a kid or two in the same house hold. Great. Now wake up.

Reality is a lot of families have single mothers taking care of 4 kids (I would be an example of that, I grew up with a single parent, my mom, taking care of me and 3 other kids), single fathers (they exist), or even *gasp* two moms or two dads. Guess what? The kids are fine and alright! No amount of forcing your personal views or beliefs on people are going to get people to line up, nod their heads, and go along with what your saying. Get over yourself and your bigotry. No one's listening.

LOL. It's too bad that everything at JC Penney is cheap junk.
(and yes, I'm gay, and my partner and I won't shop there.)

The ads were disgusting - gay "parents" should not be promoted. There is a J.C. Penney 1 mile from my current location. They will not get my business until they change their position .

You seem to have a problem with people forcing their views on others. Why is that you don't object to the gay army forcing their views on people?

Aren't you being just a slight bit selective in what you define as objectionable?

How do you photograph a Christian family/ad? Oh wait, this is how they usually do it:

Isn't that good enough, or would you prefer a giant crucifix in the photos?
