The European nations that people in this thread refer to when they use examples of the "good" Europe has economic setups very different from the USA/defaulting nations.
BINGO!

Of course he did. This is why I have to shake my head at those who point out Eisenhowers departing speech as POTUS warning about feeding the military industrial complex while his policies as POTUS expanded it exponentially.

This Republic doesn't have four more years. Obama has it nearly destroyed and uses his shadow government to varry out his agenda while he ignores the rule of law. With Romney we might be able to kick the can down the road a bit longer but at least we won't have more Marxist/Maoist radicals appointed to SCOTUS.

lol, but ultimately the road didn't mean jack tragically or tactically. that is why that road was built and the interstate system was built. Proposed by a general/president that saw the positive impact high speed highways had in Germany for troop and equipment deployment.

A little bit melodramatic don't you think?

And yet they were doing fine before they joined the EU. Go figure.

Well he did say it, and you do believe that Romney is the savior of the USA.

All hail Romney, he is our last hope for freedom.

Italy was doing fine before 1952? What would constitute doing poorly then?

Those countries joined the EU 25-60 years ago. Why was America doing fine 25 years ago? 60 years ago? Lots of countries in the EU are still doing OK. They happen not to be the countries running huge deficits. Thats probably a more important point than what they were doing half a century ago.

Also Italy was a WW2 werck when it joined. Greece, Spain and Portugal were a decade out of dictatorships. Ireland was the "sick man of Europe" By what possible measure were any of them doing "fine"!?

Everyone is debating on whether the US should or will become like Europe

Why is no one discussing whether Romney is our only hope to prevent this??????

Has Saint Romney elevated himself to Saint Reagan status???

I get tears in my eyes every time I hear "America the Beautiful."

Besides, Europe is in a heap of trouble right now, and if somebody doesn't steer us back on course, that's where we're heading. Romney can "save" us from the destruction that Obama has wrought on our nation. We dare not give him another four years. It will be over. Literally.
What's the biggest thing Obama has destroyed, single handedly, without the input of our elected Congress members? Do you think him bringing the soldier's back from Iraq was part of his destruction plan? How about Osama bin ladin. Should't he have allowed him to live, to continue more terrorist attacks, so we could increase personal liberty restrictions and movements on travel? Why is Obama deporting massive ammounts if ilegal immigrants? Doesn't he know we need those immigrants? Why is he doijng such a bad job? Please, Obama, stop detroying our country and stop deporting record ammounts of illegals.

Europe wishes it had our economy right now. It's in a bad spot. Yeah, if only they had our economy....wait..... I thought we were blaming Obama, here. But, that would mean they want an econmy that has "come back" during Obama's presidency. That doesn't make any sense, since he's busy "destroying" it as fast as he can.

Know what's gonna kill us? Entitlements. Doing too much for people. The family unit and its ties are dead and dieing. People have been taught to turn to the State for assistance in times of need. What about family ties and friends and a network you can depend on? That's been Twittered and Facebooked and youtubed out of existence. Or is being, I should say. You wanna talk about destroying a nation. Look no farthur than your compluter monitor.
