The Colin Kaepernick story has gotten seemingly endless attention because its reach goes far beyond football.
A pretty good reminder of that came Saturday afternoon in New York City, which is far removed from Kaepernick’s former NFL home of San Francisco. At a rally in Brooklyn, dozens of current and former New York police officers wore shirts that said “#WeStandWithKap” and at the end of the rally they took a knee and raised their fist, according to the New York Daily News.
There are lots of reasons not to watch the NFL. The refusal of various teams to hire a quarterback they don't want is not a reason.
Kap should have stood respectfully when the National Anthem was played. I don't care much how he feels about the country, but he should have respected the people around him as they expressed their feelings.
Is he also in favor of non Christians playing games on their iphones while Christians pray? ....... Yeah. Kinda the same thing.
He demands respect for his actions, but his actions showed lack of respect.
Sorry, Kap. I hope you are gone forever.
How about taking a knee for both? Violence against anyone is wrong.
