That great conservative hero Mitt Romney strikes again. Looks like he puts his money where his mouth is when it came to supporting abortion waaay back in 1999.
Stericyde is one of the largest medical waste disposal companies in America. Among their specialties is disposing of aborted fetuses.
Quote:
In 2001, the Bain-Madison Dearborn partnership that had invested in the company sold 40 percent of its holdings in Stericycle for about $88 million—marking a hefty profit on its original investment of $75 million. The Bain-related group sold the rest of its holdings by 2004. By that point it had earned $49.5 million. It was not until six years later that anti-abortion activists would target Stericycle for collecting medical waste at abortion clinics. This campaign has compared Stericycle to German firms that provided assistance to the Nazis during the Holocaust.
so because romney was one of the listed investors of the company, even though he had taken a leave of absence from bain in feb 99 to run the salt lake olympics, some how that means romney is now supposedly for abortion? is that what the OP is trying to get at? if romney had any real input, it was most likely a thing where the company told him "we can make money off this investment, are you in?" and romney said yes. he may not have known the particulars of everything the company dumped, just that it was a medical waste disposal company. nice try at smearing romney with it, but it fails.
