It was a scene that riveted the world for weeks: The ailing Yasser Arafat, first besieged by Israeli tanks in his Ramallah compound, then shuttled to Paris, where he spent his final days undergoing a barrage of medical tests in a French military hospital.
Eight years after his death, it remains a mystery exactly what killed the longtime Palestinian leader. Tests conducted in Paris found no obvious traces of poison in Arafat’s system. Rumors abound about what might have killed him – cancer, cirrhosis of the liver, even allegations that he was infected with HIV.

Maybe he was was trying to help the baddies get stuff for dirty bombs and accidentally ingested some of it. Maybe the russkies got to him or even we did. I think we got to Hugo Chavez and the russkies poisoned a few high profile dissidents and poitical threats.
Poisoning somebody is the cowards way, a drone strike taking down their compound is the way to go.
Israel has a fast reactor at Dimona to make the stuff and you need polonium to make nuclear weapons. Isreal has a really good intelligence agency called Mossad. So I would be shocked if they didn't pull this off and are not using it more often!
Hopefully they will get an independent organization to sample the tissue samples. And maybe the Palestinian people will find out one day why Suha Arafat gets $22 million every year while the people go further and further into debt.
