Murder has a very specific meaning, whenever someone uses the word murder in a discussion about abortion you can pretty much assume that they are an extremist pro-lifer with no clue what they are talking about.

As if to remove any doubt, you then double down by introducing the concept that pregnancy is a fitting punishment for behavior that you find objectionable.

When I see someone use the phrase "keep their legs closed", I can't help but immediately think of some sexually repressed geriatric man consumed with controlling access to their lawn.

Bill, like Obama lies through their teeth with the confidence the people who they lie to are too dumb to differentiate truth from lies.

Bill is quoted as saying the American people are so dumb they should just let the politicians take care of business. right out of the Obama, Pelosi playbook....don't worry deary, we have to pass it to find out what;s in it...now don;t you want to know what's in it? You can now quit your job and follow your dream because obamacare will take care of you.

Why would someone be an extremist just because they are pro-life? Do this mean you are extreme for being pro-death?

As for pregnancy being a punishment, pregnancy should be a pleasure because you are bringing another life into the world. As for behavior that I find objectionable, not objectionable but immoral.

Well if keeping your legs closed keeps you from murdering your unborn child then it would seem like an appropriate analogy.

deep most liberals have sneaking doubts about collectivism. Few people really relish the idea of the nanny state where leviathan gov't tells us what to eat, smoke and drink. Yet they know that this is the logical consequence of their ideology. It must be tough to reconcile psychologically. It's no wonder Maher calls himself something he's not.

I remember hearing the late lefty columnist Molly Ivins call herself 'libertarian' even though she clearly wasn't one. All people inherently wish to be free, to have 'agency' as Mia Love puts it, but that is ultimately at loggerheads with big-gov't collectivism espoused by a Bill Maher or Molly Ivins. So they have this great internal stress, and end up calling themselves something that they clearly are not.

Remember the history of slavery and the Civil War. Prior to the war, pro-slave Dems had majorities in both US House and Senate. Moreover, 13 of 34 states were slave states, and a Constitutional Amendment to overturn slavery would have required ratification by 3/4ths of states. Even today with 50 states, 13 would be sufficient to block a proposed amendment.

In short, secession and war was the one route by which slavery could have been most easily ended. So why did the pro-slave Democrats of the South choose that route? Perhaps their minds were internally stressed and inherently muddled due to the fact that they had embraced this ideology, which deep down most of them knew was wrong. With the loss of integrity came the loss of ability to think straight.

Something to keep in mind for those who advocate limited government and liberty, when it seems at times that we will never win.
