well the families can take great comfort in knowing their loved ones died defending our freedoms
They can take comfort in knowing they were the best this country has. That they were elite. That they supported each other as part of a unit. That they fulfilled the oath they swore to and went where they were sent, prepared to do the job they trained for.
My sympathies to the families. It's a tremendous loss.

I don't know. I'm going to walk in to my Texas polling place and look on ballot for any green/far liberal candidate. If that's not an option, I'll write my vote in for some left wing politician I respect. I'm not voting for Libertarian candidates because my protest vote would be seen a lending support to their anti-middle class economic policies.
Personally I will not be voting for either candidate, but it has nothing to do with Afghanistan. Obama is pulling the troops out, and Romney.......well, I dont' even know what he would do with Afghanistan. I can't recall having any plans for it.

Live by the sword, die by the sword.
No telling how many innocent civilians were killed in efforts they took part in.
And killing 3rd World peasants fighting foreign invaders from mud huts is not that difficult. They usually do it from a half mile away.
[quote=steel7;25677190. WHY are our troops still their ?
[/quote]
We are freeing people from oppression and bringing democracy. We are fighting them there so we don't have to fight them here. We are fighting them because they hate us for our freedom. We are getting rid of bad people so good Afghanistans can live in peace and freedom.
Now repeat this 100 times, and end with "thank you for my freedom"

it's hard to vote for a centipede and a scopion, you will get bitten no matter what.. wise choice grasshopper
Funny thing is, they believed in your right to say whatever you like. Me too. Great thing about this country. Anyone with a keyboard and the internet can be Thomas Paine.
Primarily because GOP voters fully backed Bush when he lied his way into these immoral needless wars.
I sleep well at night knowing I opposed invading Iraq, as I oppose all the warmongering that Obama has done.
The troops are getting killed needlessly because most of you voted for the corrupt politicians that put them there and are keeping them there.
Vote for Romney or Obama and you'll be voting to keep them there longer as well.
Its going to be either romney or obama so the killing of americans & british will continue.
