so how do people feel about this? - should it be taught that having two same gender parents is normal?
isn't this a form of ideological brainwashing?
Of course it's normal and okay, since most families do have relatives that are gay even if they don't know it...If you have twenty people in your extended family, chances are at least one is gay... How can teaching facts be brainwashing?
People here feel just fine about it and most are 100% behind what the schools are doing...We don't have nearly the problem with homophobia that the US has...
No it's not... sexual technique isn't even in the same hemisphere as saying "gay people exist."

No more so than teaching kids that some people are Christian, some are Jewish, some are black, some are white, etc - all of which is part of any public school curriculum (at least here in the US).

Some are crazy, some are dangerous sociopaths, some are immoral people with perverted sexual proclivities, all of whom young people should be taught to stay far way from. It's not wrong to teach children to avoid things that can harm them.
I don't think homosexual anything should be taught in public school. It should not be taught that it's okay. The only thing that should be taught about sex can be covered in a biology class...how a baby is made and what diseases you can get and how to protect oneself from said diseases. It doesn't even need to be a sex ed class, there does not need to be a semester's worth of discussion on the topic.

Like straight men and, especially, priests?
You know the stats.
You've participated in threads where they've been discussed.
It's not the homosexuals that you need to fear so much.
As much as I am for homosexual rights and all, I do not think it would be a good idea to teach homosexual techniques in class. I think the teacher should just stop at telling them to protect themselves no matter their sexual orientation. Past that, if they talk about anal penetration I do not think it would be necessary to talk about the homosexual part of it since its still a penis in an anus. Maybe they should just talk about the consequences of not protecting themselves in both cases but thats it.

What what WHAT? How did you make the leap from sex ed to things that can harm?
