For all the liberal hate of Christianity, even liberals must by now be able to see some difference.
Actually Martin Scorsese is a devout Catholic....

This. For all the braying about liberal Hollywood, selling movie tickets is about as market-driven an activity as it gets, and the producers know this. Nobody is going to bankroll it as a money-making venture.

Of course, it could easily be made as a smaller-scale vanity project in the $10-20 million range, if somebody felt like it.

The Martin Scorsese movie about Jesus was a low budget movie, but when people started protesting against it, everyone went to see it, and they made a big profit. However, I do not believe anyone would bother to go see an anti-muslim movie.

The Passion movie was a passion project by Mel Gibson. So yes, we will see a movie like that as soon as someone with passion and the money and the skills produces one.

They're not going to make such a movie because modern day Hollywood is filled with cowards. They'll make insulting movies about Christianity and Judaism cause we won't riot or murder. We also have a sense of humor and make comedies that make fun of our religions. Can't do that with Islam. Just ask the Danish cartoonist and the Van Gough movie maker.

It will just as soon as the projected profits exceed production costs by a healthy margin.

Bill Maher made a movie which tried to rip all religions incluiding Christianity, and Islam, and it was a complete flop

It's already been done. It was called "The Message" and was produced by a Muslim, Moustapha Akkad.

The film was very respectful and reverent but it still managed to anger Islamic extremists.
