How about Camden NJ, Philly, NY, Baltimore or Detroit?
You said the middle class black neighborhoods have increased. Do you think a handful of isolated neighborhoods is the norm? In PHilly there are a total of ZERO middle class black neighborhoods. NOT one.
I said the Black middle class has increased. I never said all of the Black middle class lives in Black neighborhoods. In fact, I mentioned this earlier. Alot of middle class Blacks have left Black neighborhoods and have gone elsewhere.
Whites move away from lower class blacks for the same reason upper class blacks move away from lower class blacks. They want to avoid crime, litter, g raffiti and bad schools.
Bill Cosby only said what I have been saying for years. Blacks get even more upset when whitey speaks the truth.
Actually, no. Bill Cosby was saying he wanted Black people do to better. You were making alot of fallacious statements about Black people and Democrats.
And apparently, you don't know alot about history. When middle class Blacks were moving into White neighborhoods, many Whites started leaving, stating that they didn't want to live around any Blacks.
And you asked about Philadelphia, you might want to look at East Mt. Airy.
Thousands of government workers and contractors would be without jobs so unemployment would soar. Poverty is an industry in the US. Look at all the people involved in the transactions of social services. It isn't like ALL of the people receiving assistance could find employment since so many jobs have been shipped out over the years to China, India, etc. Many of the people receiving benefits are working and working as hard as they can for businesses that are making huge profits. Always look at the complete picture.
Maybe the poor people will die off...is that a bad thing?
Not necessarily. People will find ways to survive. The only true way for the poor to die off is a more drastic move, and I'm not in favor of that measure.
Let's say that, in a radical attempt to balance the budget, Congress entirely cut spending on SNAP (food stamps), Section 8 (subsidized housing), and Medicaid (and they found a loophole around these "mandatory programs" that allowed them to be cut, or declared a special state of emergency).
In addition, in the same year, several states that also fund these programs separately cut their funding by 100% of near that.
What would be the result?
Republicans are funny. The result would be a bunch of children hurt and the most lopsided election in History since this would affect large swaths of traditional Republican strongholds throughout Appalachia and the South including rural and large population centers..
This is what you consider Welfare? You missed the corporate side of the equation. Ignorance or negligence?
