I find the liberal acceptance of political vandalism in this thread to be fairly shocking.
Someone needs to get out more.
Again: The Boston Tea Party. December 16, 1773. A whole lot of someone else's tea got dumped into Boston Harbor.
Samuel Adams (please turn to page 27 in your "Who's Who in American History" textbooks, boys and girls) called it a principled protest. My guess is if the Founding Fathers gave it the thumb's up everything is fine and dandy with the uber-conservatives. And patriotic! (Insert Kate Smith singing "God Bless America" here.) But if someone yanks a sign out of the ground it's the god-less liberals promoting vandalism. (Insert Pete Seeger singing "Waist Deep In The Big Muddy" here.)
Just watch it. Its so obviously phony its laughable. And if you don't see it in that one, go back to their site and watch the one where they're standing on a street corner with a giant banner. Watch as the camera turns and follows a guy coming across the street and heads right towards the banner, and then he tears it down! Watch how they stand there and get the pictures and videos, as per their script.
And don't call me a liberal. I'm not one.
Yes, I believe the video is real. This organization has been around a long time. I've known several good people involved with it over the years. If they ever pulled a stunt like you accuse them of, there would be a huge outcry amongst their supporters. I'd be the first to denounce them.

Well, color me skeptical then. It'll be interesting to see if they print the comment I made on their video.
Although I suppose if I was gullible I might be inclined to believe a slick video that told me something I already wanted, deep down inside, to believe more than anything else.
Does that mean that Supreme Court precendent only holds weight when it agrees with your opinions?
The world has changed drastically since 1973 - based on your wishing to overturn Supreme Court precedent based on the world changing - I presume that you also support overturning Roe v. Wade?
Pulling out a sign in full view of everyone is part of the act of protest. It's a small demonstration of having the courage of your convictions.
If they really want to demonstrate the courage of their convictions - then they should have no problem paying a fine or spending a night or two in jail.
