"Earlier today, Twitchy related some heartbreaking stories of small business owners laying off workers to avoid the economic impact of the Obamacare tax that isn’t a tax. Comedian Jon Lovitz, a small business owner himself, was no barrel of laughs either as his timeline filled with stories of impending downsizing. So, what about those big corporations? Boeing’s defense division announced yesterday it would cut 30 percent of management staff, and the company was not alone, we’re learning."

To those directly affected: No worries - this is what the people voted for. You have the government to take care of you. <insert sarcasm>

So make up your mind. Do you want to cut the deficit and debt by government spending less, or do you want to keep defense contractors keeping people employed making items the military neither needs nor wants? Does government not create jobs, or does government spending directly influence employment?

Seriously, what do you want because you can't have it all?

You obviously didn't read through. These are not all defense jobs.

"There are larger businesses already announcing layoffs, as well. Among those doing so just in the 48 hours since President Obama was reelected are:

Westinghouse, Research in Motion Ltd., Lightyear Network Solutions, Providence Journal, Hawker Beechcraft, Boeing, CVPH Medical Center, ING,Momentive Performance Materials, Husqvarna, SRA International, Darden Restaurants,, Rocketdyne, and Rockwell Collins."

Also,

"Boston Scientific anticipates $100 million in additional taxes next year, with layoffs to follow. Medtronic estimates a $175 million loss in 2013 and will cut 1,000 workers. Stryker plans 1,170 job cuts.

Other medical manufacturers will follow: Smith & Nephew, with 770 layoffs; Abbott Labs, 700; Covidien, 595; Kinetic Concepts, 427; St. Jude Medical, 300; Welch Allyn 275; and Hill Rom, 200." [Source]

Except for the dude who fired 22 employees I don't see how any of this is related to the election. Could you please make the connection?

This story is total b.s., and all the OP has done is pull together a bunch of disparate "events" to support a strawman narrative.... a typical RWNJ trick. Well I see the "honeymoon" didn't last long....

"Stu isn’t the only business owner claiming he fired workers because of Obama’s reelection. “David,” a man who identified himself as a CEO, called a Las Vegas radio station Thursday and said he fired 22 workers because of Obama’s win.

"Of course, one shouldn't extrapolate a trend from the rantings of anonymous callers. A survey of small business owners in October found that few would take drastic steps in response to the health care law. Instead, many said they would simply trim health care benefits.

"The Obama administration has countered the Republican claim that health care reform is a "job killer," citing a study by the Urban Institute, which found that Obamacare would actually save small business owners money on insurance premiums.

"David Siegel, the CEO of Westgate Resorts who infamously warned his workers about voting for Romney, actually handed out raises to his employees this week...."

I just thought I'd help you learn what you really voted for:

Quote:
Total, debt subject to statutory limitation4
(Dollars amounts in billions)
2011- 14,747
2012 - 16,334
2013 - 17,532
2014 - 18,485
2015 - 19,412
2016 - 20,379
2017 - 21,315
2018 - 22,235
2019 - 23,143
2020 - 24,069
2021 - 25,002
2022- 25,936
http://www.whitehouse.gov/sites/defa...ets/budget.pdf

By 2016 $400 billion a year will go to servicing the debt.

by 2015, according to Obama's own appointees, OADI and the HI trust funds will be completely exhausted. You can find that in the SS Trustees Report.

Of course if the choice is to go over the fiscal cliff then those numbers will be even worse.

Maybe now you understand the sheer full weight and consequences of your vote for "moving forward?"

Probably not...
