His family was NOT in danger. This was NOT self defense. The boy who got shot was NOT invading anyone's home. If you can go around shooting people just because you think they may be up to no good, but call yourself pro-life this is a contradiction. By your logic, one can assume that the fetus of a rapist or a criminal may one day be up to no good and take them out.
Do your best to try to keep up.....I know it's hard...but at least try.
Your statement is an ignorant hypothetical about not defending one's self/family/property simply because they are anti-abortion. That's what you implied. I called you out for the ignorance.

If a person is anti-abortion, yet condones careless murders of children or adults they are a hypocrite. Nothing you are going to say is going to change that. If someone takes a stapler off my desk or even touches my car, I'm not going to shoot them. If a person is threatening my life, I will. There is a difference. You try to keep up. I'm done with you since you are capable of nothing more than childish insults and being condescending.
maybe you should read it again. it says nothing about walking two girls home.
see? clear as mud.
No. It says he was walking TO his friend's home. It doesn't say he was walking TWO girls home.
Either way, sad situation. We don't know the details so it's too early to pass judgment. One thing for sure - there are safer places for a 13yo than under a truck at 3am in a rough neighborhood.
6 pages in and I still don't see how trespassing deserves a lethal response.
I agree. I am an owner of many guns. I shoot at least once a week and I have nothing but respect for what guns are capable of doing. The only way I would ever shoot anyone outside of my house is if they shot at me first.
I know some people will say I am not taking a chance of getting shot so I will shoot first. If you know anything about guns and thief's is most of them shoot terrible. They buy cheap guns and I bet non of them have even bothered to zero in any of there guns. And believe me, a gun is not easy to shoot and hit the target if you don't ever practice, especially a handgun.
That man does not need any guns until he properly knows how to use them. He is giving gun owners a bad name.
Who cares? Curfew trumps his right to a long life?
It's not about being out at 3am. It's about being on someone's property, hiding under someone else's car, at 3am. Made up, bull story when he woke the homeowner.
All highly suspicious activities of a criminal-in-training.
You just laid out what you view as an appropriate punishment for being out on someone else's property @ 3a. How does it sit with you then that instead of a hard ass whooping, the owner chose an almost lethal punishment?
I'd like to see a photo of this "child". Is he a gangly waif, or a muscled up thug?
