In that case, it was really only 3%. 57 million to 60 million, 48 to 51% of the total votes cast. Landslides are generally determined by double-digit differences, or in the case of the electoral college, 100+ vote differences. I don't think Obama had either this time around, but still similar to past presidential runs.

I tried to resist addressing these idiots but is anyone holding them behind a wall with machine guns?
Last I checked there are plenty of flights out of the country and you are not forced to buy a round trip.

i do find comedy in the fact that the petitions are on the white house web site. this administration has made it easier for people to express their opinion and have petitions directly addressed by the administration (25,000 signatures).

altho if any of the petitions reach 25,000 i'm guessing the reply will be a diplomatically worded "FU" ( same as any administration would do ).

and has been pointed out in this thread and all others on the topic....... not a single state is asking to secede.

these are individuals who, imo, are just being cry-baby drama queens.

RESIDENTS in all 50 states file petitions. Your thread title is a bit deceptive. Another RWNJ attempt to comfort themselves regarding the Obama victory. Wow, you guys need to get a job, or a hobby, or a life.

Mexico is always an option for them. Wait, um, they probably aren't that welcome. Ok, maybe Canada, um, wait, they probably aren't that welcome there either. I guess trying to create their own hateful island is the best they can do seeing they've ripped the crap out of their other options. Good luck to them!!

I for one would think it entertaining to watch how they ran that island. I wonder if it'd have roads? Maybe just driveways paid for solely by the owner, the rest could be dirt. Hey, maybe they could have wagons again. I'm sure they'd be armed so visit with caution. Especially if you look like a lefty, aren't white or gay.
