Then Fatah steps in and as per OSLO Fatah has to hold elections as soon as reasonable.

The truth is the residents of Gaza have nowhere to go. They are being bombarded from the sky, the sea, and land---on an area of land that is about 4 to 7.5 miles wide and 25 miles wide.
The article does not take into account HAMAS responsibility for their actions. The Palestinian narrative is that of victimhood and brutality while the Palestinian government has zeal and this fantasy of being David vs Goliath. As long as Hamas and your Palestinian government continual the ideology of anti colonialism and launching rockets into Israel with no exit strategy, Palestinians will die not because of Israel's hands, but for Hamas using causality statistics to gain symptomatic from the world. This projected weakness will give justification for Hamas to continue such strikes and the Palestinian people continue to be in the middle of seeing their government being economic and political pawns of Iran, Syria.

Your government rejected cease fire in a time in need, why? Why reject the requests from the Arab league to stop the assaults? The ideology of Jews being foreign in the Middle East is over, it's done. Anti colonist tactics are used to influence a country to return back to their home state. What if a group of people have no place to go, is it justified to launch assaults? Where do the Jews go? They were told six decades ago they can't live in Europe without being shipped off like cattle.

You want your people to stop dying? Create a revolution to overthrow your government. If even humanly possible, reverse Hamas anti colonialist ideology and accept jewish sovereignty in its ancestral land. If not... Well don't complain when Hamas steps in front of a train and complains their body is to soft for the impact.

They could use the tunnels they have built all over Gaza to protect people instead of rockets.
They could have accepted the Cease Fire instead of shooting more rockets.
They could have not shot the rockets at all.

They could Love Life more than they Love Death ...... but they make other choices.
They Reap what they have Sown .... the difference right now is that their Arab neighbors are tired of this.

You're 42 number is called Area C. Look it up.

Settlements are sitting on 1.7%. Look it up.

You fully discount that Jews lived in the West Bank and were 100% evicted from their homes, towns, lands after the Armistice line was drawn in 1949. You fully disregard that Jews owned large swaths of land in the West Bank since 1876 due to the Ottomans allowing Jews to finally own land. Jewish towns existed there for 100's of years before 1876. Thus not all Jews are Settlers. Many have returned to their historically owned properties with Ottoman and British tax stamps in hand. Most of the Arabs living there are generational squatters without any proof of land ownership. This is why if you look at a map and see that it takes odd turns and does not follow the old Armistice line is because its going around proven Jewish land. There is no obstacle due to the Palestinians want to have land they didn't own in the first place (before 1949).

The Palestinian Gov't is an obstacle to itself. They've angered the Egyptians so much that the Egyptians built a monster sized wall. They've angered the Jordanians so much that Jordan wants a 10 mile buffer between them and the Jordan river (that buffer covers 10X more land than the Settlers are on now).

So if Israel is currently the size of New Jersey, then Palestine will be the size of Delaware.

It would appear that Israel is winning.

Israel still needs to kill a great deal more, at least 100 times that number. Maybe next time the Palestinians will not be so quick to elect terrorist organizations to represent them. However, I would not hold my breath. These are not the smartest people on the planet. After all, they do not even realize that they are being used by the Arab League to fight a war the Arab League lacks the courage to fight themselves.

The Arab league has even told Hamas they have been endangering their people but the lefties ignore this.

fwiw

In the last set of elections Fatah was chosen as the gov't leaders (President). Hamas got a majority of the seats on the legislative council (Senate). Hamas did a coup to Gaza and took control and murdered most of the higher ranking Fatah members living in Gaza. Since both votes were 4 year terms and the last election was in 2006, then in actuality both gov'ts of the Palestinian People don't exist since all their terms expired in 2010. So my question, Why is anyone speaking to Abbas at this point since his legal term in office ended in 2009?

We should not have anything to do with Palestine, or Israel for that matter. We are still sending Israel and Egypt $5+ billion every year since 1979, because inept Carter could not broker a peace between Israel and Egypt, so he bought one with US taxpayer's money.

I say we end all funding to Israel and Egypt, and let them deal with Hamas, Hezbollah, and the Palestinians without US assistance. Naturally, however, I still expect Democrats to fully support Hamas and Hezbollah. Democrats are the biggest sponsors of international terrorism on the planet, even exceeding Iran's contributions.
