The reality is these rockets are about as good as the ones you would make in your own backyard. They have no guidance systems and pack only a tiny warhead. Yes, Israel should respond but no the rockets aren't all that powerful and when they hit something its more a matter of luck than skill. Those are facts even if you don't like them.
Oh, I agree. But I also like the fact that Israel is finally ending the harassment.
If Israel is not at war with the Palestinian civilians of the Gaza strip why has it killed nearly 300 Palestinians, mostly civilians, over the last 11 days?
They are only civilians because Hamas allowed it to be reported as such. Of the list they allowed out, how many on that list did they report as belonging to Hamas?

The ground assault is to find the underground tunnels and destroy the infrastructure that allows Hamas to move rockets from one location to another. Think of it as an underground transit line. Going after Hamas members individually is difficult since they wear masks. Thus when the masks are taken off, they can simply hide among the population. So basically the ones they are killing/capturing are the ones still in uniform or wearing masks.
So Israel kills 30, 60,90 ... most of them are nothing with rocket attack, and destroy major public structures to retaliate. Did we recall such incidents? Yes in WWII, Nazi and Japan army did same thing.
If this is not barbaric , I don't know what else you call it.
This wouldn't even be happening if the Arabs had accepted their state in 1948. All they have done since 1948 is make poor choices. The Arabs didn't accept the recent cease fire, another bad decision. They may as well kill themselves. Oh wait, they do.
