Sorority

Stereotypes happen all the time, in hollywood and every where else. Its a part of life and sometimes things are just done for fun and humor. Im sick of everything being called "racist". Scratch that, it seems they sure pick and choose. TV shows and movies do this stuff all the time, are they blasted by the media? No.

Cheech and Chong, remember those movies. Still not outlawed, still seen by people today to laugh at. Its humor, its comedy. Sometimes, stereotypes are just funny.

There is nothing wrong with this photo. Id be willing to be at least one of the girls in the picture is of some latino heritage. Get a friggin life PC police!!! People need to stop with the "thats offensive/racist" card. Find something better to do and quit being so low on yourself or others that you find everything to "offensive".

"This photo has been brought to our attention, and we have looked into the issue," Lisa Powers, director of public information at Penn State, said in a statement to Yahoo News.
"The students in the photo are within their First Amendment rights to express themselves in this way," Powers said. "Although we are certainly appalled that they would display this level of insensitivity and lack of judgment."
Yeah, because its just soooooo appalling. "Oh my word!!!! ARghghghghghghghgh!!! How could they do such a thing?!?!?!?!?!?" Knock it off. Most who would have seen this wouldve laughed or smiled and thought nothing of it. There is nothing to see here move along and find something better to do.

Here is what I never understand from people who cry about the first amendment. Why is it ok for somebody to offend people of a different color, but its not ok for those offended to be outraged?

Instead of wearing sombreros, poncho's and mustachios they could be wearing Jet packs and watching color TV........Oh.. those are inventions by Mexicans... but they wouldn't get much of a laugh.

That's what happens when you think you are better than everybody else and it's you god given right to look down on other people.

That's the type of elitism a lot of sororities and fraternities promote.

You can get outraged if you want. But some claiming to be outraged, simply are not. They are just the type of people who try to be PC too much. In fact, I think if this pic was shown to the entire country, a high majority would see nothing to be outraged over.

And anyone claiming to be outraged, must certainly not frequent movies or watch tv. If they do, and do so regularly, then they are most likely hypocrites. They probably all have laughed, and do so regularly, at stereotypes we see in entertainment all the time.

This is just like people who are offended at Speedy Gonzales, if any of you remember that cartoon. Nothing to get outraged over. No one is hurt, no one is getting put down. It just simply humor.

You prove that they got together to do this because they hate Mexicans and look down on them as dirt, then you would have a point. But I seriously doubt that was the case.

The PC police has done more harm to our society than good. We're becoming a bunch of wussies. "oh that is so offensive, you cant say that, you cant do that" And its even worse when there is so much hypocrisy involved.

YOU believe people shouldn't get offended. Who made you the decision maker on what people, especially of mexican descent in this case, should be outraged from. If you want to insult people, you should be ready to accept the outrage that comes with it.
