Yeah the federal govt should allow everyone to bring a gun to school....

Why is that? Because banning them has worked out so well?

I agree, after all the states are the ones that are in control of state and local schools, not the federal goverment.

Yes indeed, I'm glad my father had the good sense to move the family here from Texas 60 years ago. You get used to, even look forward to the changing seasons, I wouldn't have it any other way!

Is there a massive number of people needing a shrink? Life is tough, but actually, are times harder now than say 100 years ago? I would say much easier and the myth of this massive need for "access to mental health professionals" is more about a cash infusion to that profession. Do they ever cure anyone? ADD, ADHD, ADDD, MADD, etc...etc...they manage to come up with a new "illness" each week....all of which should be "treated" and covered by medical insurance...

Even if people have mental health insurance if they won't go for help or if the parents can't admit their son for observation, and in most cases they can't, then what good will that do?

Parents have no help a lot of times. The person won't go or won't stay on their meds. then what? They need to wait until they commit a crime like shoplifting or some such small offence and they get locked up in jail where they do not belong and where it makes them worse.

It's the ultimate irony that the right wing wants to blame gun violence on poor mental health, but they don't want anyone to have access to mental health care.
