Terrible news today. When will politicians find courage to ban automatic weapons? As in Oz after similar tragedy.
It appears that Murdoch is as ignorant about firearms as many C-D posters. Automatic weapons have been highly regulated in this country at the federal level since 1934, and are prohibited in many states. Legally owned automatic weapons are almost never used in violent crime. I believe only one has been used in a murder since 1934, and that was by a cop.
Also, note that no automatic weapons were used in the Conn shootings.
This tragedy had nothing to do with "automatic weapons."
Murdoch is playing liberals for the idiots they often are! He knew that liberals would latch onto his comments without even understanding the difference between an "automatic" and a "semi-automatic" rifle!
I do not expect any mega-rich, actor or politician to get it, as they will still have their attitude of it wont effect me, or I have bodyguards and it still wont effect me.
Gun control is the reason so many children died Friday. Adults are not allowed to carry guns in schools.
I think the current administration is behind the shootings to get our attention off of the current issues so they can raise tax's and to get people to allow them to take away more of our rights afforded by the 2nd amendment.
