This is the new mantra of the right wing, that somehow it's inappropriate to talk about gun control now. I can't think of a time when it's more appropriate.

Cue the idiot gun fetishists saying cars are the same as guns.
Stricter then what? Stricter then Connecticut's gun laws and regulations? We do control guns, hell, we even make it illegal to kill people with guns.

When was the last time 20 children were gunned down? See, your fake outrage is showing.....

Should it matter if it is 20 innocient children or 1?

Yes, plesae move on with your fake outrage.

Every day eight kids under 20-years-old die from gun violence in America. That's 56 kids a week, 340 kids a month and over 3,000 kids every year. In fact you could fill Fenway Park three times over with the 110,000 children killed by guns in the U.S. over the past 30 years!

Sorry, "6 year olds aren't getting gunned down 20 per day."

Per day means EVEY day. Pleae post the facts to show 6 year olds are being gunned at a rate of 20 each day.

Gross exaggeration and emotion is the anti-gun crowd's weapon of choice.

In the 80's when the original assault weapons ban was imposed, how many lives did it save? How much of an affect did it have on crime statistics? Answer... NONE.

Yes, ban on the sale of semi automatic rifles with detachable magazines.

If you have one you can keep it, no one is going to seize it, but you should be required to register it, and you should not be allowed to sell it without transferring registration and that sale would require a background check.

It should be illegal for a shooting range to allow anyone to bring said weapon for target practice unless it is registered.

There is plenty that could be done to at least make it more difficult for a dangerous lunatic to get a gun. Of course it wouldn't stop everything. There are loopholes in everything, it doesn't mean you shouldn't take action.

"AREN'T getting gunned down 20 per day". The point is that this doesn't happen every day, and that's why the outrage is there.

Really not that difficult to understand, if you're actually trying and not just being a contrarian gun fetishist who refuses to accept any limitations on their ability to have weapons.

.............Pretty sad.....So, basically all you have said is that the Law abiding gun owners will have to jump through more hoops to have a weapon, while the criminals (who don't care about laws) will still have these style weapons....

Last time I checked, the shootnig range for a gang banger was the local street....

This weapon should be banned?

Having a discussion or debate is one thing.
But what we see today is fear mongering, name calling and extreme posturing with bans.

That is not "discussion"; that is knee jerk emotional reaction.
