No matter where you fall on the spectrum of gun ownership, this strikes me as the height of journalistic malpractice. Why should some sleazebag buy a gun when he can just break into someone's house? What are they going to report when those guns are stolen and then used in a crime? You know they won't blame themselves. What if the gun owner now has to use that gun because some jacka$$ is breaking into his or her house because the newspaper put the address out there.
This kind of thinking and reporting is inexcusable and will only create more problems.
Yup what it is also showing you is addresses where potentially no gun exists. Good starting point for criminals planning home invasions, rapes, robberies, murders etc......
Some dumbassed *******s notion of safety the people. If they all know who is carrying a gun then you cant stay away from the evil gun owner.
Its a form of public outing to try and assign condemnation and embarassment towards the gun owner. also potentially get them fired or other negative social ostracization of being a legal law abiding 2nd ammedment gun owner.
Pull My Finger, this is excellent example of one of the points I was making last night. Don't you think?
the other side of the coin is that any would be robber may decide to rob the households where no permit is shown, thus minimizing the threat of lead poisoning.

99% of the time the burglars go into homes where no one is home.A great way to get guns.

Also a good point that your gun won't defend your house when you aren't home.
As for the article in the OP, I definitely think it is bad journalism and might possibly be something that could open them up to lawsuit in the near future. It definitely should not of been published.
Hot Damn, it looks like both sides agree on this one...
