But never the less, the narrative the media used was that the Bushmaster was the weapon used. Why the focus on the Bushmaster instead of the pistols?

a terrible tragedy and didn't know this

Why does it matter which gun he used? The story would be the same in either scenario.

The initial story reported by the mainstream media was that only handguns were used in the shooting. Later reports changed to say the opposite. One would think that if 100's of rounds of ammunition were fired from an assault rifle in a very short time span and in a small amount of space that the floor would be littered with shell casings. It would be so obvious to the first responders even before they looked for a weapon. So either the media, who presumably got their initial information from the police are grossly incompetent or there was a serious mis-communication or the first responders at the scene was a gang of Barney Fifes, who had never seen an actual crime scene involving a rifle and who had zero knowledge of weapons in general.

I also wonder how this scrawny, 150 pound young man carried several 100's of rounds of ammunition into the school along with multiple weapons and was able to shoot 26 people dead, in a matter of minutes, leaving only one person wounded. He must be so much stronger then he looked and he must have had extensive training with this weapon in order to be so accurate.

If this rifle/handgun misunderstanding was the only thing reported by the media early on that later changed to something completely different then I'd chalk it up to shoddy reporting. Unfortunately pretty much everything reported early on changed in the days following the shooting. So logic leaves a person with a couple of conclusions. Either someone, very high up in the chain of command, is lying or the media is now 100% incompetent in their jobs and should all be fired.

BTW, I despise Rush Limbaugh and certainly did not get any "news" from him.

That is one interesting link you tried to post. Something made it a bit hard to use but lets try something else to see how the forum computer handles it. The best part of your link was about the way the State Police really screwed up in dealing with the trunk guns and other parts of this whole thing. One does smell conspiracy there and have to wonder. Of course, the writer of this would be considered a pro-gunner to the grabbers so many of our people aren't about to even try to read it.

It seems that my way worked so THEY can read the link without having to go to all the trouble I did.

You haven't been looking at any of the pictures of various Bushmaster rifles being posted here, have you? Of course not, that would maybe mess with what you want to think.

Of course not.... So long as media can tell lies, knowing the gun is not the problem, but insanity is, and by the way neither party wants to be saddled with that problem; so long as the media can brand just one type of gun to ban,,,,, they will 'feel' justified.

Once they get 1 type of gun they will get all types of guns.

The fact that none of this BS will stop insanity or killers is totally not what these grabbers want. They want guns gone, they want all the guns gone except of course for the Elite.

What i don't know is what they will do when they discover they can't stop all guns from being built.

Because they can not work in wood or metal they think no one else can.

These people who would trash the Constitution, the Bill Of Rights, will also want to control every other bit of life and at the very same time can not run their own lived well.

At this point to me there is little or no need to debate anymore since you can not debate with the insane.

Their minds are total mush. They do the same thing time and again, and yet are mystified when they don't get different results.

There people have no business making law.

This is akin to letting the kids in 'Special Needs' make the rules for the whole. This is where following political correctness has taken the Nation. Law for the weak by the weak, to insure we are weak.

I know many people won't go there.... But most will, because that is what sheep and lemmings do.
