The government only knows some of the people who own guns. Millions are not registered. And I'm sure that trend will continue to grow after all of this violation of privacy activity.
So, are you OK if someone puts your name, phone number and address out on the web? The names of your children? Ages, school, grades, etc?
Do you not believe in the right to privacy?
Much of that information is already on the web, what year do you think it is?
Well until a court rules that they cannot be public records,
It will be legislated into law or at least that's the proposal and if in the event it doesn't hold up to a challenge in the courts any gun legislation requiring the registration of firearms that is going to be public record is DOA.
Somebody get me their address.. When they start posting national gun owners, I want to make sure they get me on their list... That way I won't be broken into, but my neighbors will catch it all...
Public records were made available to the public.... Nothing illegal done there. Was it ethical, I don't think so but it was fully legal.
Stop trying to create strawmem.
I'm not creating any strawman argument. It's a legit question. Would urbanlife be so easy to find without a name or location? The answer, quite obviously, is no. I never said what the paper did was illegal. But it is certainly unethical and dangerous.

Are phone books unethical and dangerous? They list every resident by name and address.
