What they ought to do is clean house in Washington Period....get rid of all those people who have agendas, and get someone in there that honestly will work for us...all of them, take advantage of us...we pay them and they continue to spend our money frivously....they don't care, there is no sense of humbleness, they don't even feel badly taking our money the way they do and putting it on their backs...my raise this year, as most doesn't even cover the tax hikes...not to mention prices keep going up...they are bleeding us dry.
I know its insane how people don't see it, they believe what the government tells them and don't dispute it. We need to get rid of political party's all together, only candidates names and beliefs. and no more corporations giving millions to a campaign. And yeah they don't feel bad at all, I don't know how they sleep at night..

Amen. Follow the money. Both parties pander to those with all of the money. "You better go along if you know what's good for you!"

Default how come the right claims they are against big government interference?

I don't understand how the right, the poster children of "we need less government interference in our lives" could advocate what would possibly be one of the biggest happenings of big brother "interference" in American history.

The right wing is generally all for things like the Patriot Act, Homeland Security, owning 25% of the planet's incarcerated population, constitutional amendments that define marriage etc. How on earth can the right wing claim to be so viciously against government interference in our lives, yet continuously support more and more government authority over everyone?

You have to separate the GOP from its followers.

The GOP office holders and professional Republicans who run the party are all for bigger governemnt. Their careers utterly depnd on it.

Of course, they tell their followers something entirely different. And the followers get in line and come to forums like C-D to tell all of us "libs" the news.
