You don't see the hypocrisy of a family values candidate cheating on his wife while trying to tell others how to live their lives? I certainly do.

^This.
Those who preach tolerance and open-mindedness seem too often have none of it when it comes to people who think differently than they do. If you don't think as they do or agree with them politically, you're dismissed as inferior, stupid, etc.

They bring up a good point. With tv and movies slanting to the left, the education system slanting to the left and news slanting to the left, it reinforces the idea that a Liberal worldview is the right one simply because those shaping our culture are overwhelmingly Liberal. Most teachers are Liberal. Most actors, screenwriters and directors are Liberal. Most journalists are Liberal. They create this illusion that their standards are society's standards, when it's simply people in positions of influence pushing their beliefs into our culture.

Ever hear the Liberal slogan "Reality has a Liberal bias"? It's true to a point, because those who are shaping our society and culture are overwhelmingly Liberal, therefore Liberals can't understand why everyone doesn't agree with them. But it's a false reality engineered by people with a certain POV they want established as normality. They want to shift the paradigm of our culture to the left, and they've succeeded by taking over fields that shape our youth and culture.

To stray from this 'new normal', Conservatives must be stupid, or brainwashed, or greedy, or even evil. Add that a higher education further solidifies this Liberal bias; once you're more educated, by professors who are overwhelmingly Liberal, you become more confident that your beliefs are the right ones and everyone who disagrees with you is wrong.
